We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to lead our business expansion efforts and drive strategic growth initiatives, to achieve our aggressive revenue and market share targets. You will leverage your extensive experience, industry relationships, and strategic thinking to identify new opportunities, generate new deals, and expand our footprint in US and Western Europe markets. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on sales expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and target potential clients, partners, and customers.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities for business expansion.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Understand client needs, pain points, and objectives to propose tailored solutions that add value to their business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, operations, and senior management team to align business strategies with company-wide initiatives.
- Drive the negotiation and closure of major deals, ensuring favorable terms and successful contract execution.
- Collaborate with legal, product, and finance teams to draft, review, and finalize customer contracts that protect the company's interests.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, offering insights into market trends, competitive dynamics, and performance metrics.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company's profile and expand professional networks.
- Continuously stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to adapt and refine strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- [7+] years of progressive experience in business development, with a focus on retail.
- Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth, generating new deals, and expanding market presence.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
